Why do you need a notary

It all begins with an idea.

Notaries by definition are public officials used to witness contract and documents to make sure that all is properly signed by the identified party. They also handle oaths and authenticate documents as well.

Documents that notaries handle are as follows but not limited to power of attorneys, wills, contracts, mortgages, and child support agreements , just to name a few. This is favored because this is a protocol that helps combate fraud and identity theft and in some cases depending on the document is required by state law. Utlizing your notary will then make the document legitimate and legally binding. However, documents do have a right of recission which would require another notary seal.

Also with the progression of the times notaries are now allowed to perform electronic notaries. Please be advised that this is not accessable by all 50 states in the US, and not eligible for all documents to be notarized. Please be sure to confirm with your notary / loan signing agent professional to confirm and any other additional assistance.

Don’t run from your process server, it only hurts you

It all begins with an idea.

Now lets be honest, I am fully aware that no one likes to hear from your local civil process server. Here’s the million dollar question to combat that, WHY? If there is someone who is taking legal action against you , wouldn’t you want to know about it? You will miss your day in court because of you allowing your fear to take over what is already in progress.

But here’s the kicker when you don’t show up for court it doesn’t stop the proceedings and in a lot of cases go in the apposing parties favor because you didn’t show up. Again, wouldn’t you like to be aware? Also , don’t block your blessing when you see your process server because sometimes the cases that come across our desk aren’t as bad as you think. I had a case not too long ago where the person I was trying to serve was being called to probate court because there was a family member with unclaimed property after his death.

Remember , we are only the messenger. Our job is to make sure that you are informed , thats all. We have no judgement or concern of what the document is for…. only to make sure that it was delivered. So remember, being informed is way more important than your fear.

Need to know tips when getting in the business

It all begins with an idea.

I remember when I first started my business back in 2020 it was so hard. Not only did I run into the issue of not finding guidance of a good mentor but , I also started only months prior to the Covid lockdown March of 2020.

However, timed moved on and so did life where I was laid off again because lets just face it , the economy isn’t as stable as to what it once use to be. My job basically didn’t have the means to keep me and had to downsize. Which made me feel some type of way becasue I didn’t do anything inappropriate or didn’t perform my job to make me feel like they should let me go. But in corporate America , its not feelings just business so if the numbers don’t add up …. I simply couldn’t stay. So this time around , I took it as God trying to position me for my new faze of life. I restarted my business and been happy every since. But now as I learned (and still learning because its always important to remain a student) let me pass on some of the basic steps to you.

4) Get your Errors and Omissions insurance (or bonded ) - Depending on your state requirements

5) Create your website and all your marketing materials together……. remeber, THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS

6) Get yourself signed up for as many signing agencies, escrow/ title companies as possible on their perferred list of notaries/ loan signings

7) Get your business social media pages together.

8) Network as much as possible. Everyone should know about your business.

9) Stay educated. Make sure you are staying aware of laws that can effect your business and procedures. As well, remember to stay a student. Take classes and try your best to keep your mind fresh to what procedures and documents you will be actively handling.
